INDONESIA, JOGJAKARTA, 20 October 2009 : Penyu Lekang (Lepidochelys olivaceae) and Penyu Hijau (Chelonia Midas) are preparing to release back to the sea after accidentally been netted by fisherman. The releasing of turtle hold by Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Jogjakarta/BKSDA Jogjakarta (Indonesia Nature Resources Authority) and Forum Konservasi Penyu Bantul (Bantul Turtle Conservation Forum) in Samas Beach, one of the beach south Jogjakarta Province where being a place for turtle spawning on. Turtle is a reptile which is protected under Indonesian Law, Peraturan Pemerintah No. 7/1999, because turtle population is decreased rapidly in the world. The food consumption, medical nutrient, souvenir, the damage of beach and sea may caused the decreasing of the population. In the world, there are 7 turtles species live in, 6 of all live in Indonesia.
